Scott Hofeling began his career in the early ‘90s as an independent aerial truck and crane operator, contracting out with various Lincoln businesses; he then became a licensed arborist from the Nebraska Arborist Association. Hofeling Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1994 as a tree-trimming and -grinding company, and in 1997, Scott and LeAnn got married.

As their reputation as arborists grew, the business kept getting phone calls asking, “Hey, are you the tree guys?” — let’s be honest: “Hofeling Enterprises” isn’t a very descriptive name — and in 2006, it branched out (pun fully intended) into its sister tree-trimming company, The Tree Guys.

Scott and LeAnn’s teamwork — he comes up with the big ideas; she focuses on the details — has continued to evolve Hofeling Enterprises, Inc. into its present form, specializing in large-scale commercial and residential projects with a particular interest in recycling and sustainability.
